USEFUL TIPS
|
Before you choose a translation agency to place your order for a translation, interpreting or legalization, etc., we recommend that you should pay special attention to the following:
• does it have a contract signed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Bulgaria;
• how many years of experience does it have in the field of services – translation, interpreting and legalization;
• what type of clients does it have and who are they;
• is the agency able to produce any letters of reference;
• is it compliant with the international quality standards;
• how does it ensure the confidentiality of information.
 |
FOR YOUR INFORMATION |
• the official translations of documents are printed on a letterhead and are certified by the signature of the translator and the seal of the agency;
• the official translations shall be performed by translators certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Bulgaria;
• the translated document/text in the source language is tagged to the translation printed on the letterhead;
• the documents requiring legalization shall be in the original or in a certified copy, as requirements may be;
• if the document is issued in Bulgaria, both the document and its translation shall be certified;
• if the document is issued abroad, only the translation shall be certified;
• before you submit a document for legalization, make sure that the institution or authority, where the document and its translation are to be presented, do require a legalization of the translation as well. You could save both money and time if only an official translation is required.
• declarations and powers of attorney may be legalized once the signature has been notarized personally by the person to have signed the document;
• if no possible transcriptions have been provided for the names of persons, companies, organizations or institutions in the target language, these shall be spelled in compliance with the officially adopted transliteration standards effective in Republic of Bulgaria;
• the seals and signatures affixed in the original documents shall necessarily be described and their contents translated;
• a document of a Bulgarian citizen residing outside the territory of Republic of Bulgaria (e.g., a power of attorney, declaration, etc.) may be certified at the Bulgarian embassy on the territory of the state hosting the Bulgarian citizen.
